FRANK ART THERAPY

Welcome to Frank Art Therapy.

I am Helen Frank, a Masters-qualified art therapist, registered with the national professional body, ANZACATA, and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

F.A.T. is an art therapy practice dedicated to all members of the community, from young children through to older adults addressing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, school refusal, stress, emotional regulation, and trauma.

What guides my work
I believe creativity is an inherent part of being human — a way we make sense of ourselves, our experiences and the world around us. The values of Frank Art Therapy are grounded in curiosity, lateral thinking, authenticity, compassion and respect.

My approach is;

MAKE. Creative thinking helps give thoughts and feelings a form.

MEANING. By engaging in creative processes, we can explore what our experiences, emotions and stories mean to us and why.

MATTER. You matter. And what we feel, create and discover matters.

ABOUT ME
I hold tertiary qualifications in Fine Art (Honours), Architecture, Allied Health, and a Master of Art Therapy (Dip. Counselling).

My professional journey has taken me through many creative and caring fields, including film and television, speech therapy, creative education, and art therapy and counselling across both schools and clinics. These varied experiences have shaped the way I connect with and support people, allowing me to bring a flexible, lateral, and compassionate approach to my practice. I’m passionate about helping people prioritise their mental health, recognise their strengths, and develop meaningful strategies to support their wellbeing.

I work across the Inner West, Northmead, and Parramatta.
